Law Enforcement Memorial set for May 12

Those who have lost their lives in the line of duty will be remembered on May 12. The Greenville Police Department’s Annual Law Enforcement Memorial Service is slated for 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 12 at a new location, the Wendell Mitchell Conference Center on the LBWCC-Greenville campus.

“During the service, officers who died in the line of duty while serving the citizens of Greenville will be honored so that they will never be forgotten,” said Chief Lonzo Ingram. “We invite everyone who can to come out and show their appreciation for these officers.”

Attorney General Troy King will be the keynote speaker at the event. A reception will follow the service. ~Angie Long
