Rays 7, Braves 6
The two teams combined to score 10 runs in the first inning, but it was the Rays who picked up the win thanks to Blake Anthony’s run in second inning.
Wilson Ellis had the lone hit for the Rays in the first inning, but six runners reached base on walks. Treyton McGough, Joshua Petty, Jackson Blackmon, and Tanner Dunkin all scored runs for the Rays.
The Braves out-hit the Rays, but came up short on the scoreboard. Davory Cook went a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate and Austin Duke and Bryce Yancey each had hits for the Braves also.
Astros 10, Tigers 0
The Astros had 10 hits to blank the Tigers 10-0. Zach Winters tallied two singles in three trips to the plate and teammate Cole English hit both a double and single to lead the Astros. Austin Phillips, Caleb Garrett, Braxton Daniels, Luke Taylor, Trudell Williams and Dakota Berry also had hits.
Baker Bozeman had the lone hit for the Tigers.
White Sox 10, Red Sox 6
Taite Watson and Tripp Richardson each had singles to lead the White Sox to a 10-6 victory over the Red Sox.
Curtis Robinson, Anthony Sellers, and Ivantrez Rudolph had hits for the Red Sox.
Dixie Youth
Giants 8, Twins 1
Kenny Harden had a double and homerun to lead the Giants in an 8-1 win over the Twins.
Drake Scoggins, Kyler Weeks, Reed Crosby, and Zeke Powell also had hits for the Giants.
Javonte Davidson plated the lone run for the Twins.
Braves 9, Twins 3
Cody Parker went 2-for-4 with a triple as the Braves beat the Twins 9-3.
Barrett Bush, Brandon Blackmon, and Jimbo Wheeler also had hits for the Braves.
Zack Gaston and Caleb Rhinehart had hits for the Twins.
Pirates 10, Cubs 5
Clay McMeans had two singles and two doubles and was a perfect 4-for-4 hitting as the Pirates beat the Cubs 10-5.
Brandon Simmons went 3-for-3, Brandon White was 2-for-4, and Jacquan Smith had two hits also for the Pirates.
The Cubs were led by a pair of hits from both Devon Middleton and Jeremy Bedgood. Jaquan Lewis added a homerun and DeArius Mitchell had double.
