lRuby Merle Smith Jackson, 64, a resident of Harpersville, Al. and formerly of Georgiana, Al., died Friday,January 29, 2010 after a brief illness. Ruby was born March 10, 1945 to Perry T. and Katie Lou Sims Smith in Georgiana, Al. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Clarence Smith, sister Myra Smith, and sister in law Margie Smith, and William Earl Jackson.
Survivors include: Daughters: Ramona (Mike) Ensley and Angie Jackson, all of Harpersville, Al. Grand Children: Amber Wilson, Andalusia, Al., Jessica Wilson and Zachary Wilson, both of Harpersville, Al.; Sister: Etheleen Gibson, Dothan, Al.; Brothers: Leo (Ann) Smith, Dothan, Al., Rev. Griel (Jackie) Smith, Hartford, Al., Carl O. (Wanda) Smith, Brewton, Jack (Jane) Smith, Mack (Marilyn) Smith, and Rev. Thomas V. (Cathy) Smith, all of Greenville; a host of nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be her nephews, Glenn Smith, Buddy Smith, Jerry Bush, Doug Smith, Andrew Smith, and Stephen E. Smith.
