Mr. James Ira Till, 90, a resident of Forest Home, AL, died Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at W. F. Green Veteran’s Hospital in Bay Minette, AL.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Forest Home United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Bingham and Pastor Willie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Home Cemetery. Masonic graveside services will be conducted by the members of Forest Home Lodge #270.
Mr. Till will lie in state 30 minutes prior to service time on Saturday. Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m.
Mr. Till served in the U. S. Army during WWII. He was in the 41st Infantry in the South Pacific.
Survivors include Mr. Till’s 2 daughters: Linda Marie Till of Forest Home, AL, Kay Till of Foley, AL, 3 grandchildren: Jay Lowery, Kerri Douglas and Carter Lowery, 5 great-grandchildren: Austin Douglas, Jamie Lowery, Jackson Lowery, Autumn Lowery, and Lillianna Lowery, sisters: Doris Till of Montgomery, AL and Nell Madaris of Hope Hull, AL, brothers: Wood Till, Jr. of Sardis, AL and Jerry Till of Braggs, AL, nieces and nephews.
