The first training seminar in the use of the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce’s new AERN computer network will be held on Jan. 21 at the Train Depot from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The chamber is now a partner with the Alabama Entrepreneurial Research Network (AERN).  The network is a program with three components.

One is to provide computers and peripheral equipment, business software, and other business research resources to non-profit organizations, such as ours, whose mission includes business development, in rural, low income portions of Alabama. As a partner the Chamber will make available to the public resources which are designed to aid potential entrepreneurs to start a new business, for existing small business owners to expand, or for other economic development work in Butler County.

The second component is a strong training emphasis. The chamber will receive training in how to use the materials and the public is offered seminars and workshops.

The third component is the AERN website. Online resources are easily accessible there and the site is designed for ease of use by the public.

Please call the Chamber at 334.382.3251 to reserve your spot.
