Friday 13th good for Crenshaw County football

Friday the 13th proved to be a very lucky day after all for Crenshaw County football as three county teams won their respective games and are now advancing to the next round of playoff action.
The Luverne Tigers defeated powerhouse T.R. Miller 19-14, and will host Trinity (11-0) next Friday night in the AHSAA Class 3A quarterfinals.
The Brantley Bulldogs sent the McIntosh Demons home with a 41-7 whipping in Bulldog Stadium.
Brantley will now go on the road to match up with Linden (12-0) in the Class 1A quarterfinals on Nov. 20.
The Cougars of Crenshaw Christian Academy have much to celebrate after their 14-12 victory over Coosa Valley at home Friday night, allowing them to head to Movie Gallery Stadium in Troy next Friday to play for the AISA Class A state championship.
The Cougars (11-1) will face Patrician (11-0) in the championship game at 4 p.m.
