FDA travels to face MEMA Knights

Fort Dale did a good job of containing Hooper’s offense last Friday night, and they’ll see another mobile quarterback this week.
The Eagles will travel to Cecil to take on the Macon-East Knights.
“They’re a good team,” said FDA head coach Speed Sampley. “They run a lot of option and veer plays, and I’ve been pretty impressed. They’ve also got other athletes besides the quarterback.”
The Knights have racked up wins over East Memorial Christian, Marengo and Sumter so far this year, and their only loss was 20-19 to Lee-Scott.
The Eagles’ offense has been able to find a way to score this season, whether it has been on the ground or through the air, but they’ll have their work cut out for them against MEMA.
“They’re going to run a 5-2 and do a solid job with it,” Sampley said. “To beat them, you’re going to have to avoid mistakes. They make you earn any scores you get.”
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Friday night at Macon-East in Cecil.
