Mr. and Mrs. Steve Linton of Luverne, Alabama, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Brandy Michelle, to Mr. Scott Joseph Cohen, the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Richard Cohen of Mountain Brook, Alabama.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ms. Dorothy Linton of Brantley, Alabama, the late John H. Linton of Phenix City, Alabama, and the late Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Pynes of Luverne, Alabama.

Brandy is a 2000 graduate of Luverne High School and a 2005 graduate of Auburn University where she received a B. S. degree in Apparel Merchandising and Design.

She is employed as manager and visual coordinator with Mountain High Outfitters of Birmingham, Alabama.

The bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Norman J. Cohen of Mountain Brook, Alabama, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry J. Miller of Boston, Massachusetts.

Scott is a 1993 graduate of Mountain Brook High School. He attended the University of Alabama and later received his Executive Chef training from Frank Stitt of Birmingham. His work has taken him to Napa Valley, California, Nashville, Tennessee, and now back to Birmingham where he is currently employed with Bottega Restaurant.

The wedding event is planned for June 26, 2009 at Riverwood Mansion in Nashville, Tennessee.
