Willie C. Gipson, 75, a resident of Georgiana, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009 after an extended illness. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, May 16, 2009 from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Thomas Smith and Rev. Larry Smith officiating. Burial to follow in East Side Baptist Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing. Survivors include: wife, Barbara Gipson of Georgiana; son, Jerry Gipson of Georgiana; daughters, Judie Wicker of Andalusia, Sandra Kennedy of Georgiana and Becky Skipper of McKenzie; sister, Claudia Herring of Georgiana; brother, Jack Gipson of Georgiana; ten grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
