We send our sympathy to the family of Mrs. Christine Mitchell who passed away this week. Mrs. Mitchell was a lifelong resident and had owned and operated Mitchell Store on Hwy. 29 North of Dozier.

On Wednesday, September 17th, the Dozier Baptist Church had as a guest speaker Lori Banning from Campus Outreach. Their vision is to send leaders of laborers from our campuses to communities and churches throughout the world to partner in the Great Commission. Ms. Banning is at Troy University.

The Dozier Baptist Church WMU had their monthly meeting on Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at 4:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall. The program was brought by Peggy Lewis and Lee Ann Rainey was the hostess for the night.The next WMU meeting will be held on October 15, 2008, at 4:30 p.m.

The Dozier United Methodist Church will hold their Homecoming Services on Sunday, October 12, with an 11 a.m. service. It will be conducted by the Rev. Sam Persons Parkes, who is the current minister of the Dozier and Opp Memorial Methodist churches. The service will be followed by a noon luncheon in the fellowship hall.

Everyone is welcomed to attend.
