Mary Janice Miller, age 72, of Evergreen, died September 9, 2008 at her home. Services were 2 p.m., September 11, 2008 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Georgiana with Keith Robinson officiating. Burial in Bethel Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Earl Miller, and her parents, Clarence aand Emmie Sirmon. Survivors include her children, Teresa Walker of Evergreen, Randy Miller (Lynn) of Range, and Joyce Albright of Tuscaloosa; one brother, Gordon Sirmon (Faye) of Evergreen; two sisters, Serena Ealum (Joe) of Georgiana, and Vivian Kohan of Port St. Lucia, Fla., eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mary Janice Miller was born in Conecuh County on Jaunary 19, 1936 to Clarence Lee Sirmon and Emmie Erion Stokes Sirmon. She was known to her family, friends and community as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, but most of all a faithful servant to her Lord and Savior.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the nurses at Georgiana Hospital, her sitter, Georgia Spears, hospice and her church family.
Pallbearers were grandsons Josh and Brent Miller, Corey and Chris Albright, Jerry Jackson and grandson-in-law J.C. Salter.
