August 1
n A report was filed at the Piggly Wiggly for theft of property. Four cartons of Newport cigarettes worth $140 were reported stolen.
August 3
n A report was filed at Hwashin America for a lost cell phone. A Motorola cell phone worth $250 was reported lost.
August 4
n A report was filed at the Wal-Mart parking lot for leaving the scene of an accident. The front bumper of an automobile received $1500 damage.
n A report was filed on Milner St. for criminal mischief. A glass window received $50 damage.
n A report was filed on Walnut St. for criminal mischief. The rear passenger window of an automobile received $200 damage.
n A report was filed on Highway 10-East for reckless endangerment and criminal mischief.
August 5
n A report was filed on Mountainview Dr. for criminal mischief. The window frame on the driver's side of an automobile received $50 damage.
n A report was filed on Pine Apple Highway for possession of a controlled substance. One plastic bag of white powder believed to be cocaine was recovered.
n A report was filed on Hicks St. for domestic violence - harassment.
n A report was filed on Lucille St. for burglary. The back door of a residence received $100 damage.
August 6
n A report was filed on Oglesby St. for domestic violence.
n A report was filed at the Butler County Fairgrounds for criminal mischief. An automobile received $200 damage.
n A report was filed on Bolling St. for domestic violence - harassment.
n A report was filed at Wal-Mart for theft of property. Two hairspray bottles ($6), one tube of toothpaste ($3), two bottles of nail polish ($7), one hat ($7), one tank top set ($10), and one pair of pants ($15), were reported stolen.
n A report was filed at Wal-Mart for theft of property. Four bottles of liquid soap ($19), one can of hair tonic ($17), and two pairs of jeans ($37) were reported stolen.
n A report was filed on Aaron Dr. for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
August 7
n A report was filed at Perdue Place Apartment for leaving the scene of an accident. The rear bumper of an automobile suffered $500 damage.
n A report was filed on S. College St. for theft of property. An 18 pack of Budweiser beer worth $19 was reported stolen.
n A report was filed at Waffle House for theft of property. A pink and white cell phone worth $175 was reported stolen.
n A report was filed at the Citgo gas station on Luverne Highway for theft by deception. An individual passed off three checks totaling $114.72.
n A report was filed at McBride's Hilltop for theft of property. A glass door received $350 damage and four 18 packs of Bud Light worth $52 was reported stolen.
August 8
n A report was filed on First St. for theft of property. One box cheese sticks worth $5.44 and two boxes of pizza worth $20 was reported stolen.
n A report was filed on W. Perdue St. for domestic violence - harassment.
n A report was filed on Administrative Dr. for assault.
August 9
n A report was filed on Mountainview Dr. for criminal mischief. The sliding panel of a motor home door received $200 damage.
n A report was filed on S. College St. for harassment.
n A report was filed at Fred's Department Store for possession of a forged instrument.
August 10
A report was filed on Carver Circle for theft of property. An Alabama license plate - tag number 10B226B - worth $119 was reported stolen.
n A report was filed on Whittaker St. for criminal mischief. A screen door on a residence received $120 damage.
n A report was filed on Hickory St. and Fields St. for possession of controlled substance. Three small off-white rocks believed to be crack cocaine was recovered.
The following arrests were made by the Greenville Police Department from August 4 to August 10:
August 4
n Willie James Cook, 40, was arrested and charged with domestic violence - assault.
n Roderick Owens, 21, was arrested and charged with theft of property, 2nd.
August 5
n Jamario Cortez Bedgood, 22, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
August 10
n Michael Jerome Butler, 19, was arrested and charged with failure to appear - loud and excessive, failure to appear - no driver's license, and failure to appear - no seatbelt.
n Gregory Alan Fitzhugh, 35, was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance.
n Maurice Anthony Waters, 36, was arrested and charged with public intoxication.
