Dunn leads Yankees over Braves, 12-4

John Dunn scored three runs to lead the Yankees to a 12-4 win over the Braves in Dixie Minor action last week. The game started good for the Braves as Cole Davis retired the first three batters he faced, but the Yankees scored two runs in the second and five in the third to put the game out of reach. Jeffery Register also scored two runs for the Yanks after reaching with a pair of singles, going two for three.
J.T. Thomas, Clem Cole, Adam Brown and Daniel Dicks all scored runs for the Braves in the losing effort.
In other Dixie Minor action:
n Chip Taylor hit a sixth inning triple to plate two runs and lead the Astros to a 4-2 win over the Twins. Taylor, who scored in the first inning after reaching on a walk, was one for three on the night. Donte Lee scored two runs for the Astros while Dilion Brown scored on Taylor's triple after being walked.
Mike Smith led the Twins' charge belting a homerun in the first inning while Harper Vinson scored in the first after reaching on a single. John Coleman Poole also doubled for the Twins while Ross Till, Justice Taylor and Brady Edge all reached on singles but didn't score.
n Toby King struck out 11 of the first 13 batters he faced, pitched a one-hitter and scored a run to lead the Orioles to a 6-0 win over the Red Sox. The Orioles struck first in the game when Cade Tillery slapped a triple to drive in Colby Booker and Timmy Gorum and later scored on a wild pitch. McKinley Lee and Alex Garrett also scored for the Orioles.
James Burkett was the only Red Sox batter to get a hit off King.
