Astros take 4-2 win over A#039;s in Dixie Youth

In what was a soggy end of the week for Dixie League action with all of Thursday's games being rained out and only one game taking place before the rains came again on Friday canceling the remainder of the week's schedule. The lone game Friday in Dixie Youth action saw the Astros get the best of the A's, 4-2.
The A's got off to a fast start in the top of the first when Caleb Glass walked then scored after a two out double by K. Lewis. The next batter, Dustin Shell, singled scoring Lewis and giving the A's a 2-0 lead going into the bottom of the first.
The Astros got on the board in the bottom of the first when pitcher Steven Lee singled and came home on a wild pitch. Aaron Callen doubled and advanced to third on a wild pitch, but Shell, the A's pitcher, found the target and retired the next three batters to end the inning.
The Astros knotted the game at 2-2 in the third when Lee got a two out single and stole second base. Callen brought him home with a double, but Shell retired Trent Jones to end the inning.
The Astros took charge in the fourth inning when catcher Kendall Gibson led off with a double then scored on some wild pitches. David Black then drew a base on balls and later scored after stealing home.
The A's threatened in the sixth inning after Glass reached on an error with one out and advanced to second on a wild pitch, but Lee took control and struck out the next two batters to end the game.
The win moves the Astros to 3-2 on the year while the A's drop to 3-3.
