Dunbar Day Camp banquet held July 27

On Thursday night,July 27, the Greenville Parks and Recreation Department
held a banquet for all
the "Day Campers" and their parents.
Under the theme of "Kids are our business", there were two sessions of Day Camp this summer, in June and July.
A dinner was served,
followed by several speakers.
Noted dignitaries speaking included: Kitty Terry, Director of the Children's Trust Fund; Tony Davidson , Class Valedictorian for Georgiana High School; Melissa Peagler, Parks and Recreation, and Debra Hood, Greenville City Councilperson.
Following next was the Dunbar Day Camp Choir, under the direction of Autumn Coleman and Susan Gregory.
Next was a demonstration by the Dunbar Day Camp Square Dancers, and then the program ended with Jerome Harris, Director of Greenville Parks and Recreation, receiving two plaques as awards of appreciation, one from the Day Campers, and one from the Day Camp staff.
