City elections important to all residents

As the city of Greenville prepares for elections on Aug. 22, it is important for all registered voters who live in the city to make plans to vote.
Once every four years, voters in the city get the opportunity to select the mayor and all five city council members, and make changes they feel necessary in the government of the Camellia City.
Complaints about the powers that be only go so far. Voting for your candidate of choice is the only real way to make a positive change. The city has 5,227 registered voters, and we encourage them all to step up and be counted.
