The month of April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month and in recognition the Butler County Children's Advocacy Center is conducting its second annual Blue Ribbon fund raiser.

For a donation of $10, individuals and businesses can purchase a blue ribbon for the the door of their home or shop to show support for the activities of the Advocacy Center and awareness of the problem of child abuse.

The counselors and professionals at the Advocacy Center work tirelessly to identify and work with victims of child abuse throughout the county, and with the addition of a new education coordinator, the center will have an even greater presence seen by the students in all Butler County schools.

We encourage the community's support of this worthwhile facility. As they say down at the center, "It shouldn't hurt to be a child."
